The NSW Government has taken significant new steps to fight COVID-19. These measures have seen the adoption of social distancing practices that have resulted in the cancellation of assemblies, excursions, travel, some events and conferences in NSW Department of Education schools.
In keeping with these measures, a decision was made recently to cancel the face to face components of the STEM 2020: Strategies for a Rapidly Changing World conference and move to a virtual conference format.
However, since this decision was made, new advice has been provided to the Department in response to COVID 19.
As a result of this advice, a decision has been made to cancel the STEM 2020 virtual conference scheduled for April 27.
The Conference organising team wish to thank everyone that has been part of helping us bring this innovative event to life over the past several months, our partners, sponsors, presenters, exhibitors, suppliers, staff and volunteers.
Whilst this has been a very difficult decision to make, we have done so in the best interest of the broader educational community.
