Lessons awaken students' interest in grains

PIEFA

PIEFA is pleased to announce new online eLearning courses are now available to teach students in Years 3 to 8 about the Australian grains industry. Available via PIEFA's Primezone Academy and developed in partnership with the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), these courses aim to ignite students' passion for pursuing a high-tech, problem-solving career in the $11.87 billion grains sector. Produced by PIEFA and the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), Grains Paddock to Plate 5/6 is a self-study or classroom-based unit of work that examines what Australian grains are, sustainability in growing grain, building and maintaining soil health, managing water wisely and indigenous grains. The unit contains research activities, hands-on experiments, quick quizzes and extension activities. View resource.
