Minister Mitchell expressed strong support for the integration of STEM in all aspects of the educational continuum and advocated for increased real-world learning opportunities in partnership with Industry.
Minister Mitchell also encouraged increased parental involvement in providing a STEM enriched environment at home and urged more students to consider electing STEM-based subjects and career pathways.
The NSW Department of Education’s SISP program looks forward to working with the Cessnock Community of Great Public Schools, The University of Newcastle, Google, Regional Development Australia Network and the Cessnock Academy of STEM Excellence (CASE) to expand the opportunities for our teachers to develop future-focused learning skills at the 2020 event.
